What cash-pay means

Cash-pay is simple: you pay the practice directly for your visit, instead of going through an insurance company. There are no copays to decode, no claims to file, and no waiting on an insurer to decide what your care is worth. The price you see before you book is the price you pay.

Why some practices choose cash-pay

Insurance-based practices are under pressure to see more patients in less time, because insurers pay fixed rates for short visits. A cash-pay practice can offer longer visits, real follow-up, and care plans that are not cut short by a billing code. Many women with PCOS have spent years being rushed through 10-minute appointments — cash-pay is one answer to that problem.

No surprise bills, ever

One of the hardest parts of American healthcare is the surprise bill that arrives weeks later. Cash-pay removes that entirely. You see the full price up front, you pay before or at your visit, and nothing shows up later. What you were quoted is what you pay. Period.

Can I use my out-of-network benefits?

After every visit, we give you an itemized receipt (a 'superbill'). Many insurance plans include out-of-network benefits that let you submit this receipt for partial reimbursement. We cannot promise what your plan will pay — every plan is different — but the paperwork is on us, and you submit it directly to your insurer.

Is cash-pay right for me?

It tends to be a good fit if you have a high-deductible plan (where you'd pay out of pocket anyway), no insurance, or you simply want a provider with time to listen. If you prefer an insurance-based practice, that is completely fine too — the most important thing is that you find care you trust. We are a cash-pay-only practice and do not bill insurance directly.

Questions before you book?

If anything about pricing or the process is unclear, reach out before you schedule — we would rather answer your questions now than have you guess. Transparent pricing is the whole point of cash-pay: you deserve to know exactly what you are paying for and why.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I owe anything after my visit?

No. You pay the published price before or at your visit, and there are no later bills, add-on charges, or hidden fees.

What is a superbill?

An itemized receipt that shows what care you received, with the codes insurers use. If your plan has out-of-network benefits, you submit it to request reimbursement.

Why don't you bill insurance?

Billing insurance means shorter visits, pre-authorization delays, and care decisions made by insurers. Cash-pay lets us spend real time with each patient.
