A Florida-based practice, built for Florida women
Virtual PCOS Specialist is the telehealth practice of Bertine JeanLaurent, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, founder of Primary Pathway Health PLLC. The practice is based in St. Petersburg, Florida — and every visit happens by secure video. That means women anywhere in the state can get care: Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, the Panhandle, or the Keys. There is no office to drive to and no waiting room. Most visits fit into a lunch break.
No referral needed
You do not need a referral from another doctor to book. If your periods are irregular, your skin is breaking out, your weight keeps climbing, or you've been told your labs look "normal" while you feel anything but — you can schedule directly through our secure booking portal. Bring your history and any records you have. That's it.
How a telehealth visit works in Florida
- Book online through our secure booking portal. It takes about two minutes.
- Meet by video from anywhere private — home, your car on a lunch break, a quiet room at work.
- Get labs drawn near you. We order them electronically, and you visit a lab draw site anywhere in Florida.
- Review results together by video and leave with a clear plan.
- Follow up with short video check-ins that fit your schedule.
Who qualifies
You must be physically located in Florida at the time of your visit. That is a licensing rule, and it applies to every telehealth practice. If you live in Florida, you qualify. Florida snowbirds and part-time residents can do visits while they are in the state. Traveling? If you are in Washington, New York, or Arizona at visit time — states where Bertine is also licensed — you can do your visit from there.
What Florida patients should know
- First visits are unhurried: a full history, a careful symptom review, and a plan built around your goals.
- Some hormone labs must be drawn on specific days of your cycle. We time them with you so the results mean something.
- Prescriptions, when appropriate, are sent electronically to the Florida pharmacy you choose.
- Follow-ups are short video check-ins — no driving across town, no time off work.
- We are cash-pay: you pay at booking, we never bill insurance, and you get a receipt you may submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
What we help Florida women with
PCOS evaluation and ongoing care. Hormone imbalance — irregular cycles, acne, unwanted hair growth, hair thinning, fatigue, mood changes. Fertility support — understanding your cycle, ovulation insight, and preconception planning. Metabolic wellness — weight, blood sugar, and energy, treated as part of the whole picture.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral from my doctor to book?
No. As a cash-pay telehealth practice, you can book directly through our secure booking portal — no referral, no insurance authorization. If you have records from another provider, bring them; they help, but they are not required.
Where do I get labs drawn in Florida?
We send your lab order electronically, and you visit a draw site near you — Quest, Labcorp, and other labs have locations across Florida. Results come back to us, and we review them together by video.
I split my time between Florida and another state. Can I still be your patient?
Yes, as long as you are physically in Florida — or in Washington, New York, or Arizona, where Bertine is also licensed — at the time of each visit. We confirm your location at every appointment.
